A Puccini's opera, a Deutsche Gramophone production, conducted by James Levine, sung by Pavarotti, performed before the purist but warm audience of the Metropolitan Opera. It would be much hard to do better. Besides, no orange couches or any other "modernist" sets, at the MET we respect the audience and offer them, a true show of opera, a pleasure for ears and eyes.
