Princesse Chang Ping - John Woo (2007)
Artists: Loong Kim-Sang, Mui Suet-Si, Lang Chih-Pai, Yen Suet-Fun and the Young Phoenix Opera troupe.
AVI 848x480 | XviD 3041 kbps | Dolby Digital 2.0 | 1H39 | Audio: Cantonese | French soft subs | opéra chinois / Chinese opera | 2.24 GB

The story of Princess Chang Ping (帝女花) is a Chinese legend about a princess and her lover at the end of the Ming Dynasty. It has been made into a Cantonese Opera by Tang Ti-sheng, a very prolific Cantonese opera adaptor of the early to mid-1900s. The premiere was featured in the Lee Theatre on 7 June, 1957 and the opera has achieved amazing box office results since then.
The popularity of the show was attributed partly to the fact that it featured the eminent Cantonese Opera stars Yam Kim Fai and Bak Sheut Sin of the 1950s. A film version of the opera was released in 1975, directed by John Woo and starred Long Jin-seng and Mei Xue-si, disciples of Yam Kim Fai and Bak Sheut Sin.

Edita Gruberova: L'art du Bel Canto/ The Art of Bel Canto/ Die Kunst des Belcanto (2010)

Edita Gruberova: L'art du Bel Canto/ The Art of Bel Canto/ Die Kunst des Belcanto (2010)
AVI 672x376 | XviD 1814 kbps | MP3 256 kbps | 54 min | Audio: German | Subs: English, French, German | Documentary | 700 MB

Artists: Lisa Densem, Nicola Mascia, Grayson Millwood, Claudia de Serpa Soares, Xuan Shi, Virgis Puodziunas, Takako Suzuki, Laurie Young...
Choreography : Sasha Waltz | Music: Jonathan Bepler | Stage: Heike Schuppelius, Sasha Waltz | World premiere 07.11.2000 | Place of recording: Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz Berlin

»S« constitutes the middle section of the »Körper Trilogy« from Sasha Waltz. The piece functions as the connecting link between the coming to terms with the physical human as in »Körper« on the one hand and the metaphysical being in »noBody« on the other. If sexuality and Eros are almost totally absent from the other productions, they stand thematically at core in »S«.
The New York musician Jonathan Bepler, famed for his long standing collaboration with Matthew Barney on the »Cremaster Cycle«, composed the long-strided music for the production: »What is astounding is that the dancers’ bodies move so slowly that I can see every blink, every tensing of muscle – and that in a single continuum of movement. That is how I recognise that the bodies are living. By means of slowing the movement it is possible to show life. While the rapid succession of images in the media kills life. The only thing that one receives is surface – skin and no life.«
