The Trocks are a treasure that every ballet lover should see at least once live. If you know and love ballet, you'll howl with laughter at the witty parody-on-pointe that these remarkable men do. If you know nothing about ballet, you will howl with laughter at their comedic turns. If I were to be stuck with only five ballet DVDs ever, two of them would be the Trocks disks.

The sextet of Englishmen known as The King’s Singers, one of the world’s most renowned a cappella vocal ensembles, has been delighting audiences around the world for more than 30 years. On their first DVD, they share some of their favorite works, a mixture of songs old and new—madrigals by Byrd and Monteverdi, a Rossini overture, and tunes from The Beatles, Freddie Mercury, Duke Ellington, and many more. Interspersed with these performances is footage of the singers in the recording studio as they face the challenge of performing Thomas Tallis’s 40-part motet Spem in alium. The program culminates with their rendition of this magnificent work.

Like always with me, this is a bait. I'm in search for a broadcasted or DVD version of Spem in Alium Thomas Tallis, if someone have it and the Stabat Mater of Vivaldi too. Thanks in advance.

The Annual Farewell Recital - Vera Galupe-Borszkh (2003)
MKV 704x528 | H264 1200 kbps | Audio: AAC 100 VBR | Language: English | Parody, comedy show | 2H05 | 1.2 GB

Behind every great man there's a woman says the proverb and sometimes behind every great diva there's a man, seems to say this show. La Gran Diva Vera Galupe-Borszkh, invites her admirers for an Nth Farewell recital, interpreting sometimes with brio, sometimes with less success, some very known or rarely sung arias, instilling always, a trait of humour here or there or a poisoned arrow at Renata Scotto or Montserrat Caballé. To be seen whith a mind ready to accept some bending of the rules, of good singing or good society.
